Coloring Quilts: Tips and Techniques

Well-known for painting on fabric, Coleen creates her wholecloth designs for painting from freemotion doodle quilting she does on her longarm quilting machine.  In this class, Coleen shares her tips and techniques for painting fabric with textile paints.  She'll share the techniques she uses for color blending, paint application, shading and layering.  She'll also present strategies for managing color bleed, corrections, and how to set the color so it's permanent.  Her goal is for her students to feel confident about using textile paints to color their own fabric and quilted projects.  Coleen has over 30 years painting experience and has a lot of tips and techniques to share with you so that you can get the best results.
