2008 Northwest Quilting Expo in Portland, Oregon

We are pleased to announce the eighth annual Northwest Quilting & Creative Arts Expo coming September 2008 to Portland, Oregon.

Expo runs Thursday, September 25, 9-5:30 pm; Friday, September 26, 9-5:30 pm; and Saturday, September 27, 9-5 pm at the Portland Expo Center, 2060 N. Marine Drive in North Portland just south of the Washington state border and the Columbia River.

With 72000 sq. feet of space, this three day event offers a multitude of fiber inspirations and creative opportunities. Enjoy a mix of shopping, quilts, wearable art and doll displays. Enjoy the official fashion show and even the unofficial fashion show seen on fellow creative attendees!

Expo's juried quilt show features hundreds of dazzling quilts. Wander past contemporary and traditional quilts, wearable art, cloth dolls and more, and emerge with new ideas for your own projects. On Saturday, September 27, our Benefit Breakfast, sponsored by Kona Bay Fabrics will feature guest speaker, Janet Fogg. Janet is an award winning artist who is both inspirational and knowledgeable on all aspects of quilting. Be sure to purchase your tickets early for this very popular event when you register for classes later this spring. All proceeds will benefit the Clackamas County Women's Shelter.

A display of quilts by artist Janet Fogg. Her stunning and creative quilts alone will be worth the price of admission.
Largest display of the Hoffman Challenge on the West Coast featuring the 2007 challenge fabric.
The Latimer Quilt and Textile Center will feature an antique quilt display as well as informative lectures on the history of quilting and textiles.
Join us in our effort to help battered women and children. A booth will be set up with sewing machines and material for you to create blocks for quilts to be donated to the Clackamas Women's Shelter. Come and sit for a while and contribute to this worthy cause.
The Cover to Cover Book Club will once again WOW us with their creativity. Members read a book then create quilts that symbolize the book. This unique approach to quilting is sure to dazzle you.
The Northwest Quilters Guild will showcase truly amazing work by their members. Whether it's quilts, wearable art or something completely different, this wonderful group will certainly be one of this year's highlights.
Awards presentation on Thursday at 1 pm. We will introduce the award-winning quilters at this year's show. Come and say hello to these talented winners.
