We are pleased to announce the Ninth Annual Northwest Quilting Expo, coming September 24-26, 2009 to Portland, Oregon. It returns to the Expo Center, 2060 N. Marine Drive in North Portland, just south of the Washington State border and the Columbia River.

With 72000 sq. feet of space, this three day event offers a multitude of fiber inspirations and creative opportunities. Enjoy a mix of shopping, quilts, wearable art and doll displays. We'll post the class schedule later this spring once everything is finalized.

Expo's juried quilt show features hundreds of dazzling quilts. You'll wander past contemporary and traditional quilts, wearable art, cloth dolls and more, and emerge with new ideas for your own projects. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned quilter, wouldn’t you enjoy seeing your quilts in the show? There are over $13,000 in prizes again this year! Here is a pdf quilt registration form for 2009.

Wish You Were Here Challenge

We are so excited! Thimbleberries designer Lynette Jensen has created North by Northwest, (shown above), a limited edition collection of three coordinating fabrics exclusively for Expo! The Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild from Longview, Washington and the Clark County Quilt Guild will be here sharing gorgeous quilts their members have created.
The Cover to Cover Book Club will once again wow us with their creativity. Members read a book then create quilts that symbolize the book. The quilts are amazing!

Northwest Quilting Expo was started in 2001 by three women with a passion for all things related to sewing, quilting and other fiber arts. They've created a world class quilt event here in the Pacific Northwest, combining shopping, classes and a juried quilt show. Join us!
